In Japanese the Laganum fudsiyama is called "Fujiyama kashipan", which means "Mt.Fuji sand dollar".

地面に斜めに突き刺さっているのは、海中を漂うエサを効率よく捕まえるため。

Eccentric sand dollar.
The reason that it is sticking in the ground at an angle is for efficiently catching food floating around in the water.

Sand dollar / カシパンウニ

セブンイレブンに行ったら、カシパンウニを売っているのを見つけたので買ってきて食べた。
Finding a sand dollar at the 7-11, I bought it and ate it.

頂点部分の切れ込みは、4等分ではなく、72度間隔が良いのではないかと思う。
I think it may be good that slits at the top are a 72 degrees interval not being quartered.
