太平洋西部からインド洋の熱帯域に生息。

ムラサメモンガラは雑食性なので、ウニとか貝とか甲殻類とか海草とか何でも食べる。
体長最大30cm程度。

派手なカワハギですな。
It's a flashy filefish.

クロモンガラ / Pinktail triggerfish

岩手以南のニッポンからインドと、西太平洋の熱帯地域に分布し、50m以浅の海に生息している。
体長は最大30cm。雑食性で、海草、ウニ類、甲殻類、ゴカイ類、貝類などを食べる。

The Pinktail triggerfish (Melichthys vidua), is distributed from Japan south of Iwate to India and the tropical region of the western Pacific, inhabits in the sea with a depth of less than 50m.
The body length is a maximum of 30cm. They are polyphagous and eat a seaweed, a crustacean, a sea urchin, a sandworm, a shellfish, etc.

ナメモンガラ

日本では伊豆諸島より南のサンゴ礁に生息しているらしい。
これは色が綺麗なのでオス。
ナメモンガラという名前の由来を知りたいが、今のところ不明である。
