Japanese Sea Nettle / アカクラゲ

アカクラゲの触手は1m以上になります。
アカクラゲが泳いでいると、触手に小魚が隠れるために集まってきますが、触手に触れた魚はしびれてしまいます。
すると、アカクラゲはその小魚を食べてしまいます。

The Japanese Sea Nettle has elongated tentacles more than 1 meter long.
While the Japanese Sea Nettle is swimming, some small fish come to hide in tentacles; but if fish touch a tentacle, they will become numb by the jellyfish toxin.
Then the Japanese Sea Nettle eats them!

ゴンズイはいつも群れているが、休憩中も群れていることが判明した。
Though striped eel catfish have always crowded together, it turned out that they also have crowded together during break time.

Spotted jelly / タコクラゲ

タコクラゲは、体内に褐虫藻という藻を飼っていて、藻が作り出す糖分を食べています。
このため、タコクラゲは光が無いと生きていけません。

The spotted jelly keeps algae called zooxanthellae in the body, and eats sugar produced by algae.
For this reason, the spotted jelly cannot live without the light.
