シロボシアカモエビは、クリーナーシュリンプの一種で、大型魚の皮膚にくっついている微生物や有機物を食べています。

The Fire Shrimp (Lysmata debelius) is a species of cleaner shrimp, and eats a minute creature or an organic matter on the epidermis of the large-sized fish.

Tuleariocaris zanzibarica / ガンガゼカクレエビ

ガンガゼカクレエビは、ガンガゼのトゲの中に潜んでいるエビで、ガンガゼのトゲを食べて生きています。つまり、ガンガゼカクレエビは、一生ガンガゼの中に引きこもっていても寝食が保障されるわけです。

The Tuleariocaris zanzibarica, are lurking in needles of the Long-spined Sea Urchin, and live on spins of a sea urchin.
So their food and sleep is guaranteed throughout a lifetime as long as they seclude themself in the home.


トゲと同化しているので、見つけるのが大変！
Finding it wasn't easy because it is assimilating into the spine!

クモみたいなエビ。
千葉から鹿児島にかけて生息。

A shrimp that looks like a spider.
They inhabit from Chiba to Kagoshima.

ニセクロナマコにくっついているナマコマルガザミ。
ナマコに一方的に共生しているカニで、ナマコの粘液を食べます。
くっつくナマコの種類によってが体色が変わります。

The Sea cucumber crab clinging to the sea cucumber.
It is a commensal crab living on a sea cucumber. It eats the mucus of a sea cucumber.
Their surface color is based on a sea cucumber to which they are clinging.

ケスジヤドカリです。
殻にイソギンチャクを付けるのが好きです。
殻に付いているイソギンチャクは、ヤドカリイソギンチャクと言います。（そのまんまだ）

Striated Hermit Crab.
They like to attach an anemone on the shell.
The sea anemone which is clinging to the shell is the species of "Calliactis japonica".

  • ボンボンを振る


右手にイソギンチャクを持つキンチャクガニ。

キンチャクガニは、イソギンチャクに毒があることを把握しており、身を守るためにイソギンチャクを終日振りかざす。
（食事のときは、イソギンチャクを地面に降ろすらしい）

The Pom-pom Crab (or Lybia Tessalatta) holding a small sea anemone in its right hand.
The Pom-pom Crab knows that the sea anemone has poison, and brandishes the sea anemone all day to protect itself.
(It seems that while they are eating, they put a sea anemone on the ground.)
